Zambrero has opened its latest UK restaurant in Rochdale, bringing its UK estate to 18 locations and introducing its Development Agent-supported model to the country. The Mellor Street restaurant opened on September 25 and offers dine-in, takeaway and delivery, with seating for 18 customers. The opening also marks another step in the Australian-born brand’s broader UK expansion strategy.
The Rochdale restaurant is supported by Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire Development Agents Damian Bennett and Dawn Catherall, who provide local guidance and recommendations to Zambrero’s franchise network. The pair are also involved in activities including site acquisition, restaurant openings and operational support, giving the Development Agent model a local dimension as the brand builds its presence across the UK.
Rochdale is Zambrero’s second UK opening in September, following the launch of its Brackmills location near Northampton earlier in the month. The restaurant serves burritos, bowls, tacos, nachos and quesadillas, with vegetarian, vegan and halal options. Zambrero entered the UK in 2021 and has continued adding locations across markets including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Reading, Essex, Basingstoke, Northampton and Glasgow.
