Vitality Bowls' Newest Gourmet Adventure: The San Jose Edition

Vitality Bowls is preparing to open a new café at Westgate Center in San Jose, California, on November 20, expanding the superfood-focused brand’s presence in the city. The location is being developed by local investors operating through Health Freaks, LLC. To mark the opening, the café plans to offer buy-one-get-one-free açaí bowls on its first day, followed by a buy-one-get-one 50% off promotion on any menu item on November 21 and 22.

The new café will serve Vitality Bowls’ range of açaí bowls, smoothies, juices, wraps, salads and other fresh meals. The brand emphasizes preparing its bowls and smoothies without fillers such as ice or frozen yogurt. Among its signature menu items is the Superfood Bowl, made with açaí, pitaya, almond milk, organic granola, cacao nibs and goji berries. The Chimichurri Steak Wrap offers a savory alternative with steak, greens and grains.

The Westgate opening adds to an existing San Jose presence and marks another step in Vitality Bowls’ broader California expansion. The company reported that the new café would be its 31st location in the state, contributing to a national network of more than 70 locations. For the local ownership group, the opening provides an opportunity to introduce the brand to more residents while building customer relationships in a competitive market for convenient, health-focused dining.

Tara Gilad, co-founder and president of Vitality Bowls, said the team behind the new location brings business experience and a commitment to the company’s mission. The brand also plans to offer cold-pressed juices, including Green Me Up and C Me Up, alongside wellness shots made with ingredients such as ginger and turmeric. Its Loyalty Club provides another reason for customers to return, allowing members to earn points on purchases, redeem rewards and access birthday offers through the brand’s mobile app.
