Velox Valuations, a national real estate appraisal firm, announced this week the launch of a new franchise serving Buffalo and communities across Western New York. The business is led by partners Dan Han and Thom Oguntoyinbo, who are now building a team of certified appraisers in the greater New York area. The move extends a brand that has been growing through franchising since 2024, after being founded in 2020.
The two owners bring complementary experience to the venture. Oguntoyinbo has worked in management consulting for Fortune 500 companies and in software development, while Han’s background is in marketing and digital consulting. That blend of operational and technical skills is meant to support the launch and steady growth of the franchise in a region the partners clearly know well.
Oguntoyinbo said the local market is a natural fit for appraisal work. “Western New York has unique, generational properties with a wide range of real estate, which makes appraisal work in the region particularly interesting,” he said.
