Velocity Auto Care has opened its 50th Valvoline Instant Oil Change service center, reaching a milestone that underscores the company’s accelerating expansion across Texas. The new location, at 2930 W. Trenton Road in Edinburg, extends the brand’s presence in the Rio Grande Valley and marks another step in a growth strategy backed by Franchise Equity Partners.
The milestone comes less than two years after Franchise Equity Partners acquired an initial portfolio of 38 locations in December 2024. Since then, Velocity Auto Care has added new centers through a combination of acquisitions and development, with executives emphasizing measured expansion rather than rapid market saturation. Robert Fish of Franchise Equity Partners said the opening reflects the partnership’s long-term investment strategy in automotive service franchising.
Edinburg also represents the company’s sixth Valvoline center in the Rio Grande Valley, a region that received its first location in 2025. Company leaders say the area has become an increasingly important growth market because of population trends, vehicle ownership levels, and demand for quick-service automotive maintenance.
Velocity Auto Care is now planning 18 additional service centers across Texas, with openings targeted through the end of 2027. Development markets include Austin, El Paso, Midland-Odessa, and several other fast-growing communities. The company expects to add roughly nine to twelve locations annually, a pace that would substantially expand its statewide footprint over the next several years.
Mike Esposito of Velocity Auto Care said the company remains focused on disciplined regional growth and operational consistency as it expands across Texas. The expansion reflects broader consolidation trends in the automotive service industry, where franchise operators are seeking scale advantages in purchasing, marketing, and operations. Analysts say larger regional networks can often invest more efficiently in technology, staffing, and customer service systems while maintaining local market coverage.
As multi-unit service brands continue to grow, comparing performance across locations becomes increasingly important. Through Gorilla Dash, franchise operators can use Benchmarking tools to evaluate operational results, identify stronger-performing markets, and make more data-informed decisions as they expand into new territories.
