Subway has taken a significant step in its international expansion by entering the Azerbaijan market through a new master franchise agreement with N Sky Build. The deal grants the local partner exclusive rights to develop and operate Subway restaurants across the country, marking the brand’s formal arrival in a market it sees as primed for growth. The move aligns with Subway’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Tracy Gehlan, President of Subway for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, described Azerbaijan as an attractive opportunity driven by rising consumer demand and evolving dining habits. She pointed to N Sky Build’s local expertise and operational capability as key factors behind the partnership, noting that strong regional knowledge will be essential to delivering consistent quality and guest experience as the brand expands.
For N Sky Build, the agreement represents a milestone moment. Chairman Nuri Garagoz said the partnership opens a new chapter for the company and reflects confidence in Subway’s global brand strength. He emphasized a shared commitment to enhancing the dining experience in Azerbaijan, with a focus on accessibility, quality, and long-term growth.
As Subway prepares to roll out its presence, plans include introducing modern restaurant designs and digital enhancements aimed at improving operational efficiency and customer engagement. The expansion underscores Subway’s intent to pair global brand standards with local market insight, positioning the company for sustainable growth while bringing its familiar made to order offering to a new generation of customers in Azerbaijan.
