School of Rock is set to open its first United Kingdom location in Twickenham, Greater London, on November 21, 2025. The new branch brings the franchise’s performance-based music education model to a city with a rich musical history. Founded in the United States, the brand has become known for turning music lessons into immersive, band-focused experiences that emphasize live performance and practical learning.
The Twickenham location is housed in a historic former bank built in 1904 and features 14 purpose-designed rooms spread across two floors. Each room is equipped for private lessons, rehearsals, and live performances. The venue’s location near Eel Pie Island connects it to a legacy of British rock, where legends such as The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd once honed their craft.
Leading the UK expansion is master franchisee Matías Puga Hamilton, who has successfully developed more than 24 School of Rock locations across Latin America. He expressed excitement about bringing the brand to the UK, noting the country’s extraordinary influence on rock and roll. “Opening a School of Rock in the UK feels especially meaningful given the country’s impact on music history,” he said, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to combining education with cultural heritage.
School of Rock President Stacey Ryan highlighted the franchise’s community-driven approach to music education. She said the Twickenham location will provide students with opportunities to develop their skills while performing in a supportive environment. With the UK launch, the franchise aims to inspire a new generation of musicians, cultivating talent through experience and collaboration, and demonstrating how purpose-built facilities can enhance learning and creativity.
