Pret A Manger has opened a new shop at Roadchef’s Tibshelf Northbound Services on the M1, adding another location to its expanding motorway network. The opening marks the eighth Pret within the Roadchef estate and the sixth launched through the partnership this year. The shop operates daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., bringing the brand’s food and coffee offering to motorists travelling through Derbyshire.
The Tibshelf location features an on-site kitchen where food is prepared throughout the day. Its menu includes sandwiches, salads, hot dishes, snacks and baked goods, alongside coffees, teas and iced drinks prepared by baristas. Among the featured items are the Chicken Caesar Bacon Baguette, Posh Cheddar & Pickle Baguette and All-Butter Croissant, giving travellers alternatives to conventional motorway food options.
The opening has created 10 local jobs, contributing to more than 50 positions generated across the wider Roadchef partnership. Pret and Roadchef are also preparing to extend their network, with further shops planned at Sandbach Northbound, Norton Canes and Watford Gap Northbound this winter. If all three proceed as planned, the partnership will have 11 locations across the motorway operator’s estate.
Customers visiting Tibshelf can also access Club Pret, the brand’s subscription programme. For £5 a month, members receive 50% off barista-prepared drinks.
