PuroClean has reached a significant milestone with the signing of its 500th franchise location, a marker that underscores its rise as a leading name in restoration and remediation services. Guided by Mark W. Davis, the company’s Chairman and Chief Executive, and Frank Torre, its Vice Chairman, PuroClean has expanded from 222 to 500 units across North America. The brand’s presence now spans from Hawaii to Newfoundland, a testament to steady growth built on strong leadership and deliberate investment.
Since acquiring the company in 2015, Davis and Torre have focused on strengthening infrastructure, training programs, and technology. These efforts have produced not only an increase in the number of units but also a fivefold rise in average unit sales. The results highlight how culture and operational effectiveness can drive sustained franchise success.
At its core, PuroClean is about service to communities. Each location is locally owned and provides restoration solutions for water, fire, smoke, mold, and biohazard damage to both homes and businesses. These services have become increasingly vital during natural disasters and severe weather events. The company’s approach is rooted in its philosophy of “Relentless Customer Service,” which influences every aspect of its training, standards, and responsiveness.
The milestone was celebrated at the PuroClean Annual International Convention, where the latest franchise agreement was signed live on stage. Keegan Trudgen and Tim Loshe became co-owners of PuroClean of North Knoxville, Tennessee. Their commitment reflects the growing trend of multi-unit ownership within the network and demonstrates how franchisees are central to the brand’s continued expansion.
Tim Courtney, Vice President of Franchise Development, has noted that PuroClean’s culture is as critical as its size. He emphasizes the importance of identifying franchise owners who are not only skilled but who also align with the company’s mission. For PuroClean, growth is not only about opening new locations but also about building trust and reliability within each community it serves.
By surpassing the 500-unit mark, PuroClean has joined a select group of franchise systems in the United States. Fewer than four percent of franchises nationwide reach this scale. The achievement signals more than numerical growth; it demonstrates the power of a people-first culture and a disciplined expansion strategy. For the franchise industry, PuroClean’s journey offers a clear example of how leadership and customer focus can shape long-term success.
