Potato Power: Mr Potato Founders Set Out on Epic Charity Road Trip Across Australia
- Jess Davis and Tyson Hoffmann, founders of Mr Potato, are embarking on a six-month road trip adventure across Australia starting from Sydney on March 15.
- During the road trip, 50% of the profits from their food truck will be donated to local charities, not-for-profits, or community-based initiatives chosen based on the needs of each town.
- The Mr Potato road trip will cover a vast distance across various regions of Australia with the aim of making a positive impact on the communities they visit.
But this is no ordinary road trip. Davis and Hoffmann have cooked up a brilliant plan to give back to the communities that will welcome their food truck along the way. At every stop, 50% of the profits will be donated to local charities, not-for-profits, or community-based initiatives. And they're not just randomly selecting charities - oh no! They will carefully choose organizations based on the unique needs of each town, aiming to create lasting impact and meaningful partnerships.
"We want to shape our journey based on community input," says Davis. "It's not just about us selling potatoes; it's about making a positive difference in the places we visit."
The Mr Potato road trip will zigzag across the Australian map, from Sydney to Northern New South Wales, Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, and back again. Along the way, they aim to leave a trail of smiling faces and full bellies.
For those unfamiliar with Mr Potato, this delightful food concept was born in 2018 and has since grown to eight stores along the east coast. And with plans to open nine more, it seems like the spuds are well and truly taking over.
So as Jess and Tyson hit the road in their trusty food truck, let's wish them bon appétit and safe travels on their potato-powered journey across the land Down Under. Who knew that potatoes could be so much more than just a humble vegetable?
