Snap Fitness has set a new benchmark in Ireland, with its latest club in Longford breaking the brand’s global presale record. The 10,000-square-foot gym launched with more members signed up on opening day than any previous Snap Fitness location across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The Longford site is the fifth Snap Fitness franchise for Dalvinder, Sam and Aaron Aujla, who have steadily built a reputation for strong operations and community engagement. Their newest location breathes new life into a property formerly occupied by Argos, transforming it into a bustling fitness destination.
For the Aujla family, the record represents more than just numbers. “We’re over the moon with the launch of our latest Snap Fitness location,” said Sam Aujla. “Achieving this record is a result of fantastic teamwork between ourselves and Snap Fitness. It’s all about applying those lessons learned over five years of franchise evolution.”
Kevin Yates, Chief Executive of Lift Brands EMEA, praised the achievement, saying it highlights both the resilience of the fitness sector and the strength of Snap Fitness as a franchising model. “When it comes to growth in this industry, it is not a vanity project. It is about creating lasting opportunities for franchisees and meeting the demand we continue to see in the market,” Yates said.
The Longford opening marks the seventh Snap Fitness location in the Republic of Ireland and the 107th across the UK and Ireland. With health and wellness continuing to be a priority for consumers, the brand has signaled plans for more openings in the coming year, underlining a growth trajectory that shows no sign of slowing.
Local members have already embraced the new gym, which offers a wide array of modern facilities, from functional training areas to group fitness classes, alongside the hallmark 24/7 access that defines the Snap Fitness brand. The franchisees have emphasized that their focus remains on delivering a high-quality member experience that blends accessibility with a strong sense of community.
Industry observers note that the success of the Longford club could serve as a reference point for the broader franchise network. With strong presale figures and a carefully chosen location, the site demonstrates how strategic expansion and community-focused operations can yield exceptional results. For Snap Fitness, it is a reminder that in a competitive market, the combination of scale, service, and local commitment remains a powerful driver of success.
