In a move that intertwines heritage with modern enterprise, Martinizing Cleaners has expanded its footprint into the greater Green Bay area through the acquisition of five Lindeman’s Cleaning locations. The 70-year-old family-run institution, long regarded as a cornerstone of the community, will now operate under the Martinizing banner. The transition was made possible through the Clean Exit program by Clean Brands, which helps established business owners pass their companies into capable hands while preserving their local legacy.
At the heart of this expansion are franchisees Trisha and Cory Spice, who bring a blend of business acumen and creative energy to the endeavor. Cory, a Certified Public Accountant, and Trisha, a local artist and philanthropist, have committed to maintaining Lindeman’s spirit of community service while updating its operations for a new era. “It’s more than just dry cleaning; it’s about supporting our local growth and honoring a legacy of care,” said Cory. Their approach blends respect for tradition with a vision for sustainable and efficient service.
Joseph Hebeka, Vice President of Franchise Development for Clean Brands, said the acquisition reflects the company’s growing emphasis on strategic market expansion through established local operators. “Our Clean Exit program allows entrepreneurs like Cory and Trisha to acquire respected community businesses and elevate them with the systems, support, and sustainability that define the Martinizing model,” Hebeka explained. He noted that the Green Bay integration showcases how franchising can strengthen local economies while enhancing customer experience.
Under the new ownership, the five Green Bay locations will adopt Martinizing’s GreenEarth Cleaning technology, a sustainable process that minimizes environmental impact while maintaining garment quality. The sites will undergo upgrades to equipment, signage, and customer service systems to ensure a seamless transition for longtime customers. All existing staff members are expected to remain, continuing the service relationships that have made Lindeman’s a trusted household name for generations.
For the Spices, the acquisition represents more than business growth; it is an act of stewardship. Trisha, who frequently contributes to community art initiatives, emphasized the importance of keeping Green Bay’s small-business culture alive. “We want our customers to feel the same personal connection they always have while knowing their clothes are being cared for in an environmentally responsible way,” she said.
The partnership between Martinizing Cleaners and the Green Bay community underscores a larger trend in franchising, where growth increasingly comes through the revitalization of local institutions rather than displacement. By uniting established goodwill with advanced franchise systems, Martinizing Cleaners demonstrates that national expansion can move forward without losing its human touch.
