Marcelo Navarro, owner of Walfinch Home Care East Barnet, has been named Walfinch Franchisee of the Year 2025, an honor that reflects his steady leadership and his belief that care must always remain personal. Since opening his branch in 2020, Navarro has built a team of 68 carers who focus on tailored services designed to meet the individual needs of each client. Navarro’s approach goes beyond daily care delivery. When a client required specialized collar brace training following a hospital stay, he personally worked with medical staff to ensure his team received proper instruction and that the transition home was smooth. He has said that close coordination with hospitals can significantly improve discharge efficiency while safeguarding the comfort and safety of clients returning to their homes.
Training remains a central pillar of the East Barnet operation. Carers receive ongoing professional development in areas such as dementia care, learning disabilities, and autism awareness. Leadership development is also prioritized, with the Registered Manager currently pursuing a Level 7 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management to further strengthen clinical and operational standards.
