Dave Edwards, a seasoned multi-unit operator, is trading pizza ovens for grill tops as he opens his third Killer Burger restaurant in Bend, Oregon. Known for his success with more than 25 Papa John’s locations, Edwards is now expanding his footprint in the Pacific Northwest with a brand that has built its reputation on bold flavors and a distinct dining experience.
The new location on Wickham Avenue blends retro-inspired design with the casual energy that has defined Killer Burger since its founding. More than just another quick-service restaurant, the concept promises a blend of nostalgia and modern fast-casual appeal aimed at consumers seeking both quality and atmosphere.
For Edwards, the move is part of a long-term growth plan. Backed by his experienced operations team, he intends to open 10 additional Killer Burger units over the next five years, stretching into Idaho and Utah. “The exceptional success we’ve experienced with our two Killer Burger units has reinforced our confidence in the Killer Burger brand,” Edwards said. “Each opening builds momentum and strengthens our belief in the growth potential of this concept.”
The expansion underscores Killer Burger’s broader strategy to increase its presence beyond its Portland roots and establish itself as a regional powerhouse. The chain has become known for its menu of signature burgers paired with fries and craft beer, targeting a consumer base that values indulgence with a side of local flavor.
Killer Burger CEO Adam Sanders praised Edwards and his team for their execution and vision. “We’re proud to celebrate another successful opening with Dave Edwards and the Cascade KB team,” Sanders said. “Their operational excellence and commitment to the brand are setting the tone for what’s possible as we continue to expand into new markets.”
With Edwards’ track record and the brand’s growing recognition, the Bend opening signals not only a step forward for Killer Burger but also a clear example of how strong franchise partnerships can accelerate growth in competitive regional markets.
