Johnny Rockets is continuing its international expansion with the opening of its fifth location in Bali. The new restaurant is located at Sira Village Grand Outlet within KEK Kura Kura Bali, a recently opened shopping and lifestyle destination designed to combine retail, dining and entertainment. The location gives the American diner brand another foothold in a market that has become an important part of its global presence.
The new restaurant brings Johnny Rockets’ familiar combination of cooked-to-order burgers, hand-spun shakes and an upbeat diner atmosphere to the outlet. Jake Berchtold, chief operating officer of FAT Brands’ Fast Casual Division, said the destination provides an opportunity to introduce the brand to both local residents and visitors while continuing to build its presence in Bali.
The opening also reflects the broader international reach of a brand that began in Los Angeles in 1986. Johnny Rockets now operates in more than 25 countries, building its identity around classic American fare and a retro-inspired dining environment. Its fifth Bali location adds another international market point while placing the brand within a destination positioned around premium shopping and leisure experiences.
For franchise systems expanding across regions, maintaining access to reliable operational information can become increasingly important as locations multiply. A Resource Library within Gorilla Dash gives franchise teams a centralized place to organize guides, reference materials, brand resources and other information that can support operators across different markets. This type of centralized access can be particularly useful when teams need to maintain consistency while adapting operations to new locations.
Johnny Rockets’ Bali expansion illustrates how established restaurant brands can use destination-driven locations to extend their reach without abandoning the identity that made them recognizable in the first place. With five locations now operating on the island, the latest opening adds another chapter to the brand’s international growth while introducing its familiar burger-and-shake experience to a new generation of Bali customers.
