Jetts Fitness is stepping into new territory with the launch of BeWell Brands, a venture designed to expand the company’s footprint beyond traditional gyms and into holistic wellness. The initiative will introduce O-Studio, a New Zealand wellness brand, to the Australian market in early 2026.
O-Studio was founded by former rugby player Tim Bateman, who turned a personal family challenge into a business mission. When his wife was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, the couple sought flotation therapy during her treatment in Singapore. The experience inspired Bateman to create a wellness concept that combines physical recovery with mental renewal. Today, O-Studio operates 13 franchises across New Zealand, offering float therapy, saunas, yoga, Pilates, massage, and meditation in spaces designed to nurture resilience and community.
Elaine Jobson, Chief Executive of both Jetts Fitness and BeWell Brands, described the move as a natural progression for the company. “The launch of O-Studio in Australia is not just a milestone; it’s a movement,” she said. “We are proud to have O-Studio onboard for our first joint venture partnership.” Jobson noted that the wellness concept aligns with growing consumer demand for experiences that prioritize health in a more complete and restorative way.
For Jetts, the partnership underscores its ambition to diversify. The company operates more than 250 clubs worldwide and continues to grow in Europe and Asia. Adding recovery-focused wellness to its portfolio marks a shift in how fitness companies are positioning themselves in a market where clients increasingly expect comprehensive approaches to health.
Bateman believes the Australian expansion comes at the right time. “It wasn’t my body that held me back; it was the weight of life’s pressures,” he said, reflecting on his own journey from professional sport to entrepreneurship. By offering a model that integrates both the physical and emotional sides of recovery, he hopes O-Studio can become a trusted destination for Australians looking for more balance in their lives.
BeWell Brands will serve as the platform for this growth, inviting investors and franchisees who share its vision of wellness built into everyday community life. The introduction of O-Studio to Australia signals more than just a business expansion. It reflects a growing shift across the fitness industry, where franchises are moving to meet demand for integrated health and recovery under one roof.
