In a meaningful display of community commitment, Grumpy’s Restaurant in Jacksonville is unveiling its inaugural Breast Cancer Awareness campaign in partnership with The DONNA Foundation. Throughout October, the company’s five Northeast Florida locations will offer limited-time pink menu items, including Pink Pancakes and Pink Waffles, with half of the proceeds from those dishes and associated merchandise directed to breast cancer support. Grumpy’s Franchise Company is further pledging to donate all royalties from the pink offerings to The DONNA Foundation.
Beyond menu items, the program extends to branded merchandise. For every Breast Cancer Awareness T-shirt sold, Grumpy’s will contribute an additional $2 to The DONNA Foundation. The dual structure of proceeds plus royalties is designed to maximize the fundraising impact and demonstrate deep organizational support.
To deepen community participation, each restaurant location will feature “Pink Ribbons” signing areas and a “Wall of Strength” poster where guests may honor loved ones affected by breast cancer. The donation option is built in, allowing patrons to “round up” their orders for additional support. The dining spaces will be decorated in pink to reflect the campaign’s message and to encourage awareness among guests.
Daniel DeLeon, President and CEO of Grumpy’s Restaurant, remarked, “The DONNA Foundation has such an incredible reputation in Northeast Florida, and we’re honored to now be partnered with them. Together, we can raise awareness and meaningful funds to make a tangible impact for families in our community.” With this campaign, Grumpy’s not only offers a “feast with a purpose,” but positions its brand as an engaged community partner during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
