JETSET Pilates is making its Bay Area debut with a new studio in Santa Clara, bringing the boutique fitness brand into one of Northern California’s most competitive wellness markets. Preview classes begin on August 10, while the official grand opening is scheduled for August 29.
The studio is led by franchise owner Shan Dey, who is transitioning from a career in technology that included roles at Meta and Realtor.com. Dey said the move was motivated by a desire to build a business with a more direct impact on residents, inspired by the sense of accomplishment and community he observed among Pilates participants.
Located at 205 Franklin Road, Suite 100, the Santa Clara studio will feature reformer-based classes designed to combine strength training, cardio, and Pilates movements in 50-minute sessions. The grand opening celebration is expected to include local vendors, food and beverage offerings, and discounted Founding Memberships accompanied by exclusive JETSET merchandise.
Dey has indicated that Santa Clara is intended to be the first step in a broader regional growth strategy that could include additional Bay Area locations. His expansion plans align with JETSET Pilates’ ongoing national franchise development efforts as the brand continues to enter new metropolitan markets.
Founder Tamara Galinsky said the Santa Clara opening represents an important milestone for JETSET Pilates and reflects the company’s emphasis on pairing strong local ownership with a consistent brand experience. She described Dey’s blend of analytical expertise and community engagement as a strong fit for the company’s long-term vision.
As boutique fitness brands expand into new markets, member retention and recurring revenue become increasingly important. Through Gorilla Dash, studio operators can use Memberships and Subscriptions tools to manage founding-member enrollment, recurring billing, and membership communications more efficiently, helping new locations build a stronger foundation during their early growth stage.
