Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has once again proven that a simple meal can make a meaningful difference. Through a series of nationwide round-up campaigns, the beloved fast-casual chain raised more than $779,000 for nonprofit partners dedicated to education, military families, and disaster relief. The initiative united guests and franchisees around a shared mission of generosity, showing how small contributions can create a powerful collective impact.
One of the year’s most successful drives came in August, when Freddy’s partnered with the Kids In Need Foundation during its Back-to-School campaign. The effort generated $351,022 in donations, helping provide essential classroom supplies to students and teachers in under-resourced schools. The campaign also marked the foundation’s 30th anniversary, celebrating three decades of advancing educational equity across the country.
Earlier in the year, Freddy’s focused on honoring military families through its partnership with Folds of Honor. Guests and franchisees raised $381,905 in May to support scholarships for the spouses and children of fallen or disabled service members. The response highlighted a deep sense of gratitude among Freddy’s customers, many of whom were moved by the opportunity to give back to those who serve.
In Texas, when flooding devastated local communities over the summer, Freddy’s stepped forward again. Guests contributed $29,665, which was matched by an additional $16,426 from Lone Star Custard Holdings, a regional franchise group. Together, their efforts delivered more than $46,000 in relief funding to Convoy of Hope, helping families rebuild in the wake of the disaster.
Freddy’s CEO, Chris Dull, praised the compassion of both guests and franchisees. “These campaigns speak to the power of small acts coming together to create meaningful change,” he said. “Our brand has always been rooted in hospitality, and that spirit extends beyond our restaurants and into the communities we serve.”
Through these efforts, Freddy’s continues to demonstrate that franchise success can be measured not only by growth and revenue, but also by the good it generates. Each campaign reinforced the brand’s belief that kindness and community go hand in hand, making every burger and scoop of custard a part of something larger than a meal.
