Eggs Up Grill has opened its first location in Hampton, Virginia, marking a significant step in the brand’s regional expansion. The new restaurant is led by Tony and Brigitte Sawyer, a husband-and-wife team whose combined experience in franchise operations and people-centered leadership underpins their vision for the Hampton location. This site is the first of a planned ten-unit development across the state, signaling Eggs Up Grill’s commitment to bringing its breakfast concept to new communities.
Tony Sawyer, a veteran franchise operator with more than 40 Sport Clips locations to his name, has returned to his home region near Newport News to introduce the brand to familiar neighborhoods. Brigitte Bartley Sawyer brings expertise in holistic health and team development, ensuring the restaurant fosters strong connections with both employees and guests. Together, they aim to create a welcoming environment where every meal feels personal and community-oriented.
The couple emphasizes the importance of culture, hospitality, and purpose in their approach to business. Brigitte noted that the brand’s focus on valuing both staff and patrons drew them to Eggs Up Grill, while Tony highlighted the restaurant’s role beyond serving breakfast, describing it as a space where community can gather and relationships can flourish. Their philosophy is reflected in the thoughtful design of the Hampton location and the attention given to each customer experience.
Although the restaurant is now serving guests, an official grand opening is scheduled for January 2026. The event will feature giveaways, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a community celebration, setting the tone for the brand’s planned growth in Virginia. With the Hampton location as its first foothold, Eggs Up Grill is poised to bring a fresh approach to breakfast dining while reinforcing its reputation for quality, service, and community engagement.
