Chopstix has added a new Gateshead location at Trinity Square, extending its North East presence with an opening campaign featuring discounted noodles, free spring rolls and live entertainment.

  • Chopstix opens new restaurant in Gateshead.
  • 99p noodle boxes and free spring rolls at launch.
  • Follows successful Newcastle branch opening last year.

Chopstix has expanded its presence in North East England with a new restaurant at Trinity Square in Gateshead, adding another location to the Asian-inspired quick-service restaurant brand’s growing regional footprint. The opening followed the launch of its Newcastle city-centre restaurant on Northumberland Street and gave the brand another base from which to serve customers in the area.

The Gateshead opening was supported by a promotional event featuring 99p noodle boxes, 1,000 complimentary servings of spring rolls, prizes and discounts. A live DJ was also scheduled to perform, creating an event-led introduction designed to attract customers beyond those simply looking for a new place to eat.

For restaurant operators, the launch highlights the role that opening campaigns can play in building awareness around a new location. Promotions that combine a clear customer incentive with entertainment can give a new restaurant an immediate local presence while creating opportunities to introduce the wider menu to first-time visitors.

Gorilla Dash’s Competitions and Promotions feature is designed to help franchise businesses organize promotional campaigns and customer-focused initiatives across their operations. For brands opening new locations, a centralized approach can make it easier to coordinate promotional activity while keeping campaign details organized.

The Gateshead expansion also reflects the importance of establishing a broader regional footprint as restaurant brands pursue growth. With its Newcastle and Gateshead locations strengthening its presence in the North East, Chopstix is continuing to build visibility in a market where location strategy, promotional activity and consistent customer engagement can all contribute to the development of a growing restaurant network.
