Batteries Plus is plugging into new territory with a three-unit franchise agreement that brings its signature energy solutions to Rhode Island and expands its presence in Massachusetts. The deal, led by franchise owners Joe, Karen and Josh Britland, marks a significant step for the family business and introduces the brand’s first locations in the Ocean State.
The Britlands, who currently operate a Batteries Plus store in Seekonk, Massachusetts, have become familiar faces in the community, offering reliable service and a deep understanding of customer needs. Their experience running a successful operation has positioned them to spearhead regional growth and strengthen the company’s presence in the Northeast.
Josh Britland began his career at the Seekonk store in 2013, bringing a background in automotive service and an eye for quality customer care. Over the years, he advanced through the ranks and now oversees operations alongside his parents. “Owning a Batteries Plus store is a dream come true, and doing it alongside my family makes it even more meaningful,” he said.
Victor Daher, Vice President of Global Franchise Development for Batteries Plus, praised the Britlands for their dedication and local insight. He described their approach as a model for sustainable franchise growth, noting that their expansion into Rhode Island will allow more customers to access Batteries Plus’s dependable repair services and energy products.
The new locations will offer a full range of products and services, including batteries, lighting solutions and mobile device repairs for both consumers and commercial clients. As the Britland family prepares to launch their next round of stores, their continued success reflects the strength of family-owned franchise operations and the growing appeal of specialized service brands across the country.
