A Place At Home has earned a place on the 2026 Inc. 5000, ranking No. 3,085 among the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. The Omaha-founded senior care franchise recorded 98% total growth from 2022 to 2025, equivalent to a 25.7% annualized growth rate. The company also ranked No. 310 among healthcare and medical companies, No. 10 among Omaha companies and No. 14 among Nebraska companies.
Founded by childhood friends Dustin Distefano and Jerod Evanich, A Place At Home grew from a local senior care provider into a national franchise system with more than 50 locations across 22 states. Its services include companion care, assistance with daily activities, medication reminders, meal preparation, transportation, respite care, care coordination and other support designed to help seniors remain at home.
The recognition comes during a significant transition for the company. Dovida, a global home care provider, acquired A Place At Home earlier this year as part of its entry into the U.S. market. The franchise's leadership and operations remain focused on supporting local owners, caregivers and the families they serve while drawing on Dovida's international experience in person-centered home care.
For a franchise network operating across dozens of markets, growth brings a practical challenge: keeping information accessible and operations aligned as the organization becomes larger. Using Gorilla Dash, franchise teams can organize training materials, procedures and other operational resources through the Resource Library, giving franchisees and staff a centralized reference point as the network expands.
A Place At Home's Inc. 5000 recognition highlights the growth achieved before the company entered its next phase under Dovida. It also underscores the scale of the franchise system Distefano and Evanich built and the opportunity ahead as the organization continues to develop its network and home care services.
