Main Line Brands, the parent company of Fitness Machine Technicians, Mosquito Authority, and Pest Authority, is expanding efforts to help military veterans transition into civilian careers through franchising. The company works with the Department of Defense SkillBridge program, which gives service members hands-on experience with private-sector employers during their final months of active duty.
Through the program, participants gain direct exposure to franchise operations, including scheduling, customer service, field management, and business development. Main Line Brands said the initiative helps veterans understand how established systems function while evaluating long-term career opportunities after military service.
Davis Murphy, director of franchise development at Main Line Brands, said veterans often succeed in franchising because of their background in leadership, accountability, teamwork, and mission-focused execution. He said both military service and franchise ownership depend on discipline, repeatable systems, and clear performance goals.
The company said veterans also receive a 15 percent discount on new franchise territories, along with mentoring and operational guidance. Those incentives are designed to help candidates move from employment opportunities into ownership if they choose to pursue entrepreneurship within the network.
As franchise groups expand veteran-focused hiring strategies, consistent training becomes increasingly important across multiple markets. Gorilla Dash Knowledge Base can help brands centralize procedures, onboarding materials, and operational resources so new owners and staff can access guidance quickly and efficiently.
Veterans continue to represent a meaningful share of franchise ownership in the United States, reflecting the appeal of structured business models with proven support systems. Programs that connect service members with ownership pathways may become a larger part of franchise growth strategies in the years ahead.
