Urban Air Adventure Park is set to expand its footprint in Virginia with the announcement of three new locations in Sterling, Arlington, and Washington DC. The expansion comes as demand for active, family-friendly entertainment experiences continues to rise. Existing franchisees Manoj Gandhi and Abhay Malpani, who opened their first park in Woodbridge earlier this year, will spearhead the new locations. Gandhi envisions a future with ten or more parks in the state, reflecting both local enthusiasm and the broader growth potential for the brand.
Virginia has emerged as a strategic market for franchising, supported by population growth and favorable economic indicators. Urban Air is capitalizing on these conditions by situating parks in high-traffic suburban and metropolitan corridors. The company’s approach focuses on combining prime locations with innovative family entertainment to deliver both community value and scalable business opportunities.
Each new park will feature Urban Air’s signature attractions, including the Sky Rider indoor zipline, extensive ropes courses, dodgeball arenas, and laser tag zones. A fast-casual café will complement the entertainment offerings, giving families convenient options for dining between activities. The combination of thrilling attractions and amenities aims to create memorable experiences that encourage repeat visits and extended stays.
With more than 350 parks open or in development worldwide, Urban Air continues to lead the indoor adventure park sector. The new Virginia locations add to its existing presence in Fredericksburg, Woodbridge, Gainesville, and Richmond, further solidifying the brand’s commitment to bringing immersive, high-energy family entertainment to growing communities. These openings provide insight into the continued viability and appeal of experiential service franchises in dynamic markets.
