Church's Texas Chicken has announced a national partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America to expand mentorship opportunities and career development for young people across the United States. The initiative includes a $100,000 donation to support the organization's evidence-based mentoring programs, along with a series of community events designed to connect youth with educational, personal and professional experiences.
The partnership has already begun through activities that bring together local communities and mentors. One of the first events, a youth soccer clinic held in Houston, gave participants from Big Brothers Big Sisters the opportunity to develop new skills, meet professional athletes and take part in a community experience supported by Church's Texas Chicken. Houston Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell joined the event, which combined athletic instruction with mentorship and community engagement.
Church's Texas Chicken Chief Executive Officer Roland Gonzalez said the collaboration reflects the company's commitment to creating opportunities that help young people realize their potential beyond the restaurant industry. Big Brothers Big Sisters of America President and Chief Executive Officer Artis Stevens said combining trusted mentorship with real-world experiences can help prepare young people for future educational and career success while strengthening the communities they serve.
As franchise organizations expand their community involvement, coordinating local events across multiple locations becomes increasingly important. The Event Calendar feature in Gorilla Dash provides a centralized way to schedule volunteer activities, community partnerships and franchise events, helping teams stay aligned while supporting meaningful local engagement.
