A scannable cup, a glittering lime drink, and a gift card deal make up the drive-thru chain’s holiday lineup through December 31

The Human Bean, the Oregon-based drive-thru coffee chain, has opened the holiday season with a drink lineup built around music. From November 4 through December 31, three new beverages will be available at locations nationwide, served in cups that carry scannable QR codes. Each code leads to a Spotify playlist of holiday songs chosen by the company’s team, and the three cup designs correspond to three different soundtracks.
The menu leans on familiar flavors with a twist. Jingle Bell Bright® combines lime, pomegranate, and cherry and is finished with edible glitter, while the Cookie Butter Matcha is topped with crunchy Biscoff cookie. The Peppermint Bark pairs Iced Shaken Espresso with peppermint, chocolate, and caramel, shaken with chocolate milk. Customers who want more mint can also add peppermint to any of the brand’s traditional favorites.
Claire Mealy, Senior Manager of Innovation for The Human Bean, said the lineup grew out of the idea of holiday hits. “It’s full of favorites we all know and love, with some bold and unexpected twists,” she said. The company is pairing the drinks with a gift card offer, and from November 18 through December 24, a $25 gift card purchase comes with a 24 oz drink valued at up to $10, which can be redeemed right away or saved for later.
Seasonal campaigns of this kind involve many moving parts, from menu launches and cup designs to gift card incentives with fixed start and end dates. The Human Bean opened its first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland, Oregon, in 1998 and now supports more than 216 locations open or under development in 23 states. Pairing a coffee order with a playlist is a small gesture, but it gives a holiday drink a reason to be scanned, shared, and remembered long after the cup is empty.
