Riko’s Pizza is bringing its signature thin-crust pies to Miami with a new flagship restaurant planned for Wynwood, one of the city’s most dynamic neighborhoods. The full-service restaurant and bar will occupy 3,500 square feet inside the Society Wynwood complex, with construction already underway. The company expects the location to open in mid-2026.
For founder and chief executive Rico Imbrogno, the expansion is both a strategic and personal milestone. “Just hold on, Miami, Riko’s is on its way to save you from the dull pizza options you have been forced to accept for far too long,” he said. His vision is to bring a lively gathering space where families can share meals, sports fans can catch games, and friends can come together over Riko’s famous bar pies.
The Wynwood flagship will be the brand’s sixth corporate-owned location, its third in Florida, and its thirteenth overall. Riko’s has already found success in the state with its Tequesta restaurant, which opened in 2022 and has established a strong following. By placing a corporate location in Miami, the company is reinforcing its control over brand experience in a market with national visibility.
Carl Bachmann, president and chief operating officer, said the decision to launch in Wynwood reflects the importance of Miami as a cultural and culinary hub. He added that operating corporate stores in high-profile markets allows Riko’s to set standards that will guide franchisees as the brand continues to expand across Florida and beyond.
The Wynwood site will combine the company’s signature thin-crust tavern-style pizzas with an expanded menu that includes craft cocktails, wine, and beer. The restaurant design aims to balance Riko’s neighborhood-bar aesthetic with a contemporary feel that fits Wynwood’s artistic character.
Beyond its culinary offerings, the new flagship is positioned as an anchor for the brand’s growth strategy. Flagship stores often act as showcases for potential franchisees, investors, and customers, providing a tangible model of what the brand represents. In Miami, the combination of location, atmosphere, and menu could give Riko’s an advantage in standing out in a crowded dining market.
As construction progresses, anticipation is building for an opening that promises to do more than serve pizza. Riko’s is preparing to offer an experience that reflects the energy of Wynwood while strengthening its presence in the competitive Florida dining scene.
