Perkins American Food Co. is making its long-anticipated debut in Texas through a new franchise partnership with husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Shaikh Satter and Sanjida Khatoon. The couple, who immigrated from Bangladesh in 2006 and have since built a successful portfolio of convenience stores including several 7-Eleven locations, will soon bring the first Perkins restaurant to Crowley, part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metro area.
The Crowley restaurant is set to feature Perkins’s latest design prototype, which reflects the brand’s evolving image and contemporary dining trends. While honoring its long-standing reputation for homestyle American comfort food, Perkins is introducing a refreshed layout and modernized menu aimed at connecting with new generations of diners. Guests can expect familiar favorites like omelets and pancakes alongside lighter meals and shareable appetizers that cater to changing tastes.
For the Satter family, the expansion represents both a new challenge and a continuation of their entrepreneurial journey. “This is a special moment for our family,” said Satter. “We’ve been successful in the convenience store business for years, and now we are excited to take on a new venture in the restaurant industry.” The couple’s commitment to quality service and community engagement aligns with Perkins’s mission to blend comfort with innovation in every neighborhood it enters.
Perkins has been steadily revitalizing its brand identity under Ascent Hospitality Management, the company that also oversees Huddle House. Earlier this year, the brand introduced a new restaurant prototype in Orlando, which was met with positive reception for its design and operational efficiency. The Crowley location will be among the first to adopt this upgraded concept, serving as a model for future franchise growth across the country.
As Perkins prepares to open its doors in Texas by fall 2026, anticipation continues to build among both franchise enthusiasts and local residents. The move signals more than geographic expansion; it underscores the company’s broader ambition to strengthen its national presence while staying true to the comforting, family-style dining experience that has defined the brand for decades.
