Huey Magoo's is expanding into Pennsylvania for the first time through a three-unit franchise agreement that will introduce the brand to Tunkhannock, Scranton and Wilkes-Barre. Local entrepreneurs Mark DeStefano and Mike Diskin will lead the development, bringing the fast-growing chicken chain into a new market while emphasizing community involvement and local partnerships.
DeStefano, a finance and operations executive with a background in real estate, has joined forces with hospitality professional Mike Diskin to oversee the expansion. The pair said they were drawn to Huey Magoo's after attending the brand's Discovery Day, where they experienced its operating model, culture and signature hand-breaded chicken tenders firsthand. They plan to support local schools, youth sports and community organizations as each restaurant opens.
The agreement represents another milestone in Huey Magoo's national growth strategy as the brand continues expanding through experienced multi-unit operators. By entering Pennsylvania, the company extends its footprint into another key market while giving residents access to its premium chicken tender concept for the first time.
