Penn Station East Coast Subs recently brought its signature flavors to Crown Point, Indiana, with the grand opening of its newest restaurant on November 10. The fast-casual sandwich brand, known for its made-to-order subs, fresh-cut fries, and hand-squeezed lemonade, marked the milestone with a lively community celebration. Operated by the Stahlhut Restaurant Group, the new location adds to the family’s long-standing legacy with Penn Station. Guests who attended the grand opening event on November 15 enjoyed live music, prize giveaways, and complimentary subs for the first 50 visitors.
For the Stahlhut family, the Crown Point opening was a meaningful milestone. Led by Ryan Stahlhut and his parents, Gloria and Todd, the group celebrated 17 years with the Penn Station brand this year. Since opening their first restaurant in Schererville, Indiana, in 2008, the family has built a reputation for exceptional hospitality and operational excellence, earning recognition among the brand’s top-performing franchisees. “The Stahlhuts represent everything that makes our brand special,” said Craig Dunaway, Chief Operating Officer of Penn Station East Coast Subs. “Their dedication to guests and their community is truly inspiring.”
The new restaurant features Penn Station’s hallmark offerings, including its award-winning Cheesesteak, golden hand-cut fries, and refreshing lemonade. With a warm, casual setting, the Crown Point location has already attracted a steady flow of customers eager to enjoy the brand’s signature menu. The restaurant operates Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Crown Point opening coincides with Penn Station’s 40th anniversary, a significant year for the brand as it continues to expand across the country. For the Stahlhut Restaurant Group, the event symbolizes both their continued growth and their deep connection to the community. As they reflect on nearly two decades in the franchise system, their success story continues to exemplify the strong partnerships and family-driven values that have made Penn Station a lasting favorite in the fast-casual dining scene.
