Mountain Mike’s Pizza has officially arrived in Oklahoma with the opening of its first restaurant in Midwest City. Local franchisees Jesse and Mona Kang are bringing the brand’s nearly 50-year legacy to the area through a three-unit deal signed in late 2024. Known for delivering “Pizza the Way it Oughta Be,” Mountain Mike’s offers diners the option to enjoy fresh, made-to-order pizzas in a welcoming environment for dine-in, carryout, or delivery.
Jesse Kang expressed excitement about the venture, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to quality. “We’re incredibly proud to bring Mountain Mike’s Pizza to Oklahoma for the first time. The brand’s dedication—from dough made fresh daily to premium toppings—truly makes it stand out,” he said. The couple found Midwest City’s family-oriented community to be an ideal setting for their new restaurant and are eager to engage with local residents.
The Midwest City location features a range of family-friendly amenities, including an all-you-can-eat pizza and salad bar, weekday lunch buffets, and a game area with six arcade machines. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi, a spacious patio for outdoor dining, and six big-screen televisions for sports fans. The space is designed to accommodate everything from casual family meals to team parties and local gatherings.
Jim Metevier, CEO of Mountain Mike’s Pizza, highlighted the strategic significance of the Oklahoma opening. “Entering Oklahoma is a key step in our expansion across the South-Central United States. We are confident that the combination of quality food and a family-friendly atmosphere will resonate with this market,” he said. With the Kangs leading the Midwest City location, Mountain Mike’s aims to establish a lasting presence in the community and continue its growth across the region.
