KBP Brands Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of 28 KFC Restaurants

In a move to bolster its presence in the fast-food industry, KBP Brands, a major franchisee operator, has recently acquired 28 KFC restaurants in North Carolina and South Carolina from Scottish Food Systems. This acquisition marks a significant addition to KBP Brands' existing portfolio, which already includes 642 KFC locations, 117 Arby’s, and 54 Taco Bells.

Similarly, AS Food Services has expanded its reach by acquiring 24 restaurants in the Houston area and surrounding markets from Garza Management Group. This strategic move is expected to enhance AS Food Services' offerings in the region.

Fitness Ventures, the second-largest Crunch Fitness franchisee, has been acquired by Meaningful Partners, a private equity firm. This acquisition showcases Fitness Ventures' commitment to growth and development as they continue to establish Crunch clubs in various states.

JF Fitness of North America has also experienced growth with investments from Trive Capital and 808 Capital Partners. By acquiring Team Roldan, an eight-unit Crunch franchisee operating in Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina, JF Fitness has solidified its position as one of the top five Crunch operators in the country.

Across the pond, The Karali Group has become the largest Taco Bell operator in the United Kingdom by acquiring 46 restaurants from Caskade Group. This acquisition, facilitated through a pre-packaged administration overseen by Begbies Traynor and FRP Advisory, demonstrates The Karali Group's ongoing expansion in the region.

Meanwhile, an unnamed private equity firm has acquired The Cookie Place, a franchisee of Great American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery with stores across 14 Southeastern U.S. states. Financial advisory services for the sale were provided by Brookwood Associates.

Wed Society, a wedding services franchise, recently closed a Series A funding round with a $5.8 million valuation. The funds will be utilized to accelerate franchise development, following the addition of 11 new locations and services in five states since the beginning of the year.

ERA Prime Real Estate Group, headquartered in Michigan, has expanded its operations by acquiring Compass Realty Pro in Southgate, Michigan. This strategic move is indicative of ERA Prime Real Estate Group’s commitment to growth and expansion in the region.

In a separate development, Hounds Town USA President David Martinelli, alongside other co-owners, has acquired a location of the pet care and boarding franchise in Denver's Baker neighborhood. This acquisition highlights Hounds Town USA's continued commitment to providing high-quality pet care services.
