Businesses and individual taxpayers in Chatham and Rochester now have access to a new local source of financial guidance as Mary Simons launches her TaxAssist Accountants practice in Kent. The new office expands the franchise network’s presence in the region and aims to provide professional tax and accountancy services to local residents, entrepreneurs, and growing businesses.
Simons brings more than two decades of experience in accounting and finance to the role. She holds a master’s degree in Accounting and Finance and has developed extensive commercial knowledge through a career that spans both industry and advisory work. Alongside her professional background, she has also served as a voluntary trustee for local charities, giving her insight into the financial challenges faced by community organisations and small enterprises.
Opening her own practice has long been a professional goal for Simons. The new office is based at Ascend Coworking in the Pentagon Centre in Chatham, where she plans to work closely with clients across the Medway area. Her services include self-assessment tax returns, year-end accounts, bookkeeping, payroll, business planning, and guidance for entrepreneurs launching new ventures.
Simons said she is looking forward to meeting clients and introducing them to the broader range of advisory services available through the TaxAssist network. She emphasized that her goal is to provide clear and practical advice that helps individuals and business owners manage their finances with greater confidence.
The launch reflects a broader trend in the accountancy sector, where demand for accessible and locally based financial advisers continues to grow. By combining personal expertise with the resources of an established franchise network, the new practice aims to provide trusted support for clients navigating the increasingly complex world of taxation and business finance.
