The East Coast Wings + Grill location in Clemmons, North Carolina has entered a new chapter under the leadership of Gregory and Dafni Ballas. The transition brings a familiar touch to the restaurant, as Gregory grew up in the Clemmons and Winston-Salem area and Dafni has been instrumental in leading operations for the Michael Family Restaurant Group. Their partnership reflects both experience and personal connection to the community they now serve.
From the start, the couple has emphasized that their goals extend beyond menu execution and guest volume. Gregory noted that both he and Dafni were raised in the restaurant industry and that hospitality is a part of who they are. Their vision for the Clemmons location centers on creating an environment where both staff and guests feel valued, respected, and genuinely welcomed.
Dafni has expressed that building a strong internal culture is foundational to their strategy. She believes that when a team feels supported and appreciated, that energy reaches guests naturally. The couple intends to focus on developing staff loyalty, investing in training, and fostering a sense of belonging for everyone who walks through the doors.
To mark their ownership, the Ballases organized a Community Day and pledged 10 percent of earnings to the Ronald McDonald House in support of families with children receiving medical care. The gesture underscores the mindset they intend to bring to the business. For Gregory and Dafni Ballas, success is rooted not only in operating a high-performing restaurant but also in strengthening the community that helped build them.
