Golden Corral will mark a major milestone this Veterans Day with its 25th Annual Military Appreciation Night, an event that has become a cornerstone of the brand’s community efforts. On November 11, from 4 p.m. until closing, all active-duty, retired, reserve, and National Guard members are invited to enjoy a complimentary dinner buffet and beverage at participating locations. The gesture reflects the company’s enduring gratitude for those who have served the nation.
For Golden Corral’s leadership, the event represents far more than a promotional campaign. “Military Appreciation Night is always one of the most meaningful nights of the year,” said Lance Trenary, the company’s chief executive officer. “It is inspiring to see our communities come together to honor those who have given so much.” The initiative began in 2001 and has since grown into one of the largest privately run veteran appreciation programs in the country.
In 2024 alone, Golden Corral served more than 185,000 complimentary meals and raised over $1 million for the Disabled American Veterans organization (DAV). Guests can also support the cause by donating or rounding up their checks between October 27 and Veterans Day, with all proceeds benefiting DAV’s mission to assist veterans and their families. Since the partnership began, the company has provided nearly 6.7 million free meals and contributed more than $20 million to veteran-related programs nationwide.
The brand’s year-round initiatives extend beyond the dining room. Through Camp Corral, a nonprofit founded in partnership with DAV, Golden Corral funds summer camps for children of military families affected by service-related injuries or loss. Since 2011, the program has provided more than 21,000 children with free camp experiences, offering a sense of adventure, healing, and belonging.
Golden Corral has also launched new charitable collaborations, including a partnership with Project Healing Waters, which supports veterans’ rehabilitation through fly fishing programs. Its inaugural fundraiser surpassed $175,000, underscoring the brand’s expanding commitment to service members and their communities.
As Golden Corral continues its mission to serve both food and goodwill, the annual Military Appreciation Night stands as a reminder that gratitude can be best expressed not through words, but through shared meals and lasting acts of kindness.
