Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has promoted Lindsey Kochanski to Vice President of Marketing, the fast-casual chain announced. In the new role, Kochanski will oversee the brand team and continue to advance the company’s marketing strategy. The promotion follows her move up from director of brand marketing, and it places her at the center of a system of about 600 locations across the United States and Canada.
Kochanski brings nearly 20 years of experience in brand strategy, retail and foodservice marketing, and digital programs. Before joining Freddy’s in 2023, she held marketing roles at The Coca-Cola Company, where she developed integrated plans, targeted campaigns, and audience-specific tools. Her priorities in the new position include initiatives meant to increase traffic, promote sales, create efficiencies, and support the brand’s continued growth.
Erin Walter, Freddy’s Chief Marketing Officer, pointed to the combination of strategy and collaboration that Kochanski has shown. “Lindsey pairs a strong strategic vision with a thoughtful, collaborative approach,” Walter said. She added that Kochanski has demonstrated a commitment to excellence since joining the company and expressed confidence that her leadership will build on the brand’s momentum.
For a franchise system of this size, marketing strategy only works if it reaches every restaurant in a usable form. Franchisors need a dependable way to share campaign assets, brand standards, and promotional guidance with owners who may never meet the corporate team in person. Gorilla Dash comes with a Resource Library feature designed to give franchise networks one organized place to store and distribute those materials, so local teams can find current resources without chasing them down.
Freddy’s was founded in Wichita, Kansas, in 2002 and is known for cooked-to-order steakburgers, shoestring fries, and freshly churned frozen custard. As the chain continues to grow, the promotion keeps a leader with institutional knowledge of the brand at the head of its marketing function, a choice that suggests continuity as much as change.
