Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Greater Albany has partnered with the Scotia Fire Company to install upgraded exterior lighting at the local firehouse through its “Lighting For Good” initiative. The project enhances visibility for firefighters and visitors while celebrating the commitment and dedication of the department’s volunteers. It demonstrates how franchise-backed businesses can support their communities in meaningful ways.
Tim Williams, Chief Illumination Officer at OLP, expressed pride in the collaboration. He explained that the new lighting not only improves safety but also serves as a visible symbol of the fire company’s dedication and connection to the community. “These men and women dedicate so much of their time and energy to keeping the community safe. This project is our way of giving back while helping them shine, both literally and figuratively,” Williams said.
Funding for the project came entirely from private donations, member dues, and fundraising efforts organized by the Scotia Fire Company. Chief David Wood acknowledged OLP’s role in making the upgrade possible. He noted that the lighting improvements provide practical benefits for the crews and stand as a lasting testament to collaboration and civic engagement.
The installation goes beyond functionality, reflecting OLP’s broader mission of using lighting as a force for good. The enhanced illumination adds a welcoming presence to the firehouse while reinforcing the department’s role as a pillar of community safety and pride.
By combining design expertise with a commitment to civic responsibility, Outdoor Lighting Perspectives offers an example of how service-oriented franchises can contribute to local neighborhoods. The Scotia Fire Company project illustrates how thoughtful partnerships can strengthen both operational effectiveness and community connections, leaving a bright impression that goes far beyond aesthetics.
