Dyno-Rod, a leading UK-based plumbing and drainage network, is redefining employee engagement across its 54 franchise territories. In September 2024, the company launched Orange Moments, a digital engagement platform built in partnership with employee experience firm Rippl. This strategic move aimed to strengthen communication, recognition, and support for over 1,200 field engineers and support staff.
Orange Moments is more than just a rewards app. Designed to integrate seamlessly into everyday workflows, it features social timelines, recognition cards, a news feed, training modules, and a Benefits Hub offering discount vouchers and wellness tools. The app empowers field-based workers to stay connected and recognized, even while working remotely or on-site.
In just six months, the results have been compelling. The platform has facilitated over 500 personal recognitions, nearly 4,000 social timeline posts, 2,300 news article views, and 420 completed learning modules. More impressively, £82,000 worth of savings have been accessed through the app’s Benefits Hub, with engaged employees showing 72% lower turnover compared to those not yet using the platform.
Lee Parry, Dyno-Rod’s Network Performance and Strategy Manager, called the initiative a “strategic leap” for the network. “Partnering with Rippl on Orange Moments has transformed how we recognize and retain talent. It’s not just boosting morale—it’s improving performance across the board.”
With the skilled labor market becoming increasingly competitive, particularly in field services, Dyno-Rod’s approach offers a proven model for other franchise networks. The Orange Moments platform has demonstrated that meaningful recognition and seamless communication are essential tools for business continuity and culture building.
