Del Taco has launched a highly anticipated phased reopening across the Colorado Front Range, marking the return of 17 corporate-owned locations to the region. The rollout, which began on June 21, is expected to continue over the coming months as the company reasserts its presence in key local markets. This initiative reflects a broader strategy by Del Taco to enhance guest satisfaction and reconnect with its loyal customer base through direct corporate ownership and improved service delivery.
Each reopening location will feature upgraded in-store elements, including the installation of digital ordering kiosks aimed at reducing wait times and streamlining the ordering process. For long-standing fans, the return of Del Taco’s iconic Macho Burrito lineup is a highlight. These generously sized burritos are available with a variety of fillings, including seasoned beef, marinated chicken, and carne asada steak, all paired with slow-cooked beans, cheddar cheese, fresh vegetables, two distinct sauces, and sour cream.
In addition to its classic offerings, Del Taco is introducing new value-driven options through its El Big Boxes, meal bundles that start at just $5. These tiered bundles are designed to deliver both variety and portion size, appealing to customers looking for substantial meals at accessible price points.
“We’re thrilled to reestablish our presence in the Denver and Colorado Springs communities that have supported Del Taco for more than two decades,” said Sarah McAloon, Interim President of Del Taco. “We’re already seeing an incredible response at the locations that have reopened, with Macho Burritos returning, plus our new, bigger, over one-pound classic burritos and our super popular $9 AmeriMex El Big Box. We look forward to continuing to serve guests with our fresh, unexpected flavor.”
As the phased reopening progresses, Del Taco aims to balance nostalgia with innovation, offering familiar favorites alongside technology-forward improvements that modernize the dining experience.
