A freshly renovated store in Waikiki has opened its doors with a new pairing of familiar names. Cinnabon and Jesters Pies now share the location in a co-branded format introduced by Boxx Brands, the company that oversees Cinnabon in Western Australia. The launch marks the twenty-fifth Cinnabon outlet in Australia and brings together two popular bakery concepts in one setting.
For Boxx Brands, the Waikiki store represents an important step in its broader growth plan. Managing director Brett Higgins said the company views Western Australia as a key market and sees potential for significant expansion. He noted that the updated space provides an opportunity to introduce more customers to both Cinnabon and Jesters while supporting a strategy that aims to open twenty stores across the state.
The redesign also reflects the company’s confidence in the co-branding approach. The Waikiki location offers Cinnabon’s signature cinnamon rolls alongside Jesters’ long-standing range of savory pies, creating a unified space that caters to varied tastes. The blend of offerings allows the store to serve customers looking for either a sweet indulgence or a traditional Australian snack.
For Aubrey and Denise Fernandez, who operate the Jesters franchise at the site, the new partnership has brought renewed excitement. They said the collaboration allows them to elevate the experience for existing customers while introducing the appeal of Cinnabon to the community. The refreshed interior and combined menu are expected to draw steady foot traffic from both locals and visitors.
The Waikiki opening signals a broader trend within the food franchising sector, where co-branded locations are increasingly viewed as a viable way to increase visibility and share operational costs. If the concept performs well, it may become a model for future expansion across Australia as brands look for creative methods to strengthen their presence.
