Chicken Salad Chick is bringing its brand of Southern-inspired fare to Oklahoma this fall, with new restaurants opening in Del City on October 7 and Norman on October 21. To mark the occasion, the first 100 guests at each location will be rewarded with free chicken salad for a year, a promotion designed to spark enthusiasm and draw attention to the brand’s arrival in the state.
The expansion is being led by Troy Morrison, one of the brand’s most prominent franchisees and a veteran operator in the restaurant industry. Morrison already oversees more than 100 Taco Bell and Wingstop locations and has steadily added Chicken Salad Chick units to his portfolio across Indiana, Texas, and Oklahoma. His latest openings in Del City and Norman follow earlier launches this year in Pflugerville and Austin, signaling a strong commitment to scaling the brand.
Festivities surrounding the Oklahoma openings are expected to extend beyond the restaurant doors. Guests attending during the first week will have the chance to receive promotional items, including branded tumblers, tote bags, and coolers, along with special meal giveaways. The Norman restaurant, situated near the University of Oklahoma, is expected to benefit from a diverse mix of students and local residents, creating a broad customer base from day one.
Scott Deviney, chief executive of Chicken Salad Chick, said the new locations represent a natural step in the brand’s growth, adding that Morrison’s ability to execute on large-scale expansion has been a driving force behind recent momentum. With service options ranging from dine-in to drive-thru and catering, the company is positioning its restaurants to appeal to a wide variety of dining preferences.
The brand’s expansion also carries a community dimension. Through the Chicken Salad Chick Foundation, the company will continue its support of initiatives such as CURE Childhood Cancer and local food banks. This philanthropic focus, combined with Morrison’s operational expertise, underscores the company’s effort to blend business growth with social impact as it enters new markets.
For Oklahoma, the openings highlight the arrival of a fast-growing franchise that has already carved out a loyal following in other states. With strong promotional energy, seasoned leadership, and an emphasis on community ties, Chicken Salad Chick is setting the stage for a warm welcome in its newest markets.
