Chaiiwala, the fast-growing café brand known for its modern take on South Asian street food, has celebrated the opening of its 105th UK outlet at Unit 4F in Centre:MK, Milton Keynes. This launch marks a significant milestone for the Leicester-born company and signals the continued momentum behind its ambitious expansion strategy.
The newly opened location offers signature Chaiiwala items like butter chicken rice bowls, masala omelettes, and Bombay twister naan wraps—an appealing blend of vibrant flavors in a modern café setting. Designed to offer more than just a quick stop, Chaiiwala locations are now recognized for creating relaxed, cultural dining experiences with wide demographic appeal.
Founded in 2015, Chaiiwala has scaled its operations across major UK cities, using a hybrid model that includes traditional stores, drive-thrus, and kiosks in high-footfall areas such as retail parks and high streets. Much of this growth has come through strong relationships with franchise partners, many of whom continue to invest in multiple locations.
With the UK network now exceeding 100 stores, the brand’s focus has shifted to global markets. Canada has already welcomed nearly 20 Chaiiwala locations, and three branches are operational in Dubai. The company has also announced plans to enter the United States, with over 100 franchise commitments signed ahead of its first U.S. opening scheduled for mid-2025.
Fueling this international push is a strategic partnership with Lote Global, a private investment firm that provides the financial and operational backing to meet Chaiiwala’s bold target of 500 stores worldwide. Market entries in Saudi Arabia and Qatar are also in the pipeline, supported by the brand’s flexible formats and adaptable menus tailored to regional preferences.
By leveraging a franchise-first model and tapping into the growing appetite for authentic South Asian cuisine, Chaiiwala is redefining how global consumers experience chai and street food. With the 105th store now open and more on the horizon, the brand’s international footprint is expanding as quickly as its reputation.
