Caring Senior Service has expanded its presence in New Jersey with the opening of a new office in Morristown, the fourth location in the state for the national in-home care franchise. The operation is led by Judy Stein and Steve Loewenthal, a married pair who bring a combination of social work, legal experience and community involvement to the venture. Their goal is to strengthen the availability of reliable care for older adults who wish to remain in the comfort of their homes.
Stein has worked extensively in geriatric care management and is a licensed social worker who has long advocated for compassionate support for seniors. Loewenthal spent more than two decades as a personal injury attorney and became familiar with the challenges families face when caring for aging relatives. He said the local need for support was clear. “Our community has a growing need for trusted in-home care,” he noted, adding that families deserve dependable services that help loved ones maintain independence in surroundings that feel familiar and safe.
Caring Senior Service offers nonmedical in-home support, including personal care, companionship, transportation and safety oversight. Founder Jeff Salter welcomed the Morristown team, explaining that Stein’s knowledge of elder care and Loewenthal’s experience navigating complex situations make them well suited to serve families in the region. He said their combined strengths align with the mission of the organization, which focuses on helping seniors age with dignity while reducing the burden on caregivers.
Stein and Loewenthal view the new office as an opportunity to give back to the community while building a business that reflects their values.
