BurgerFi is returning to Michigan with a second restaurant, this time in Ypsilanti. The new location at 2997 Washtenaw Road is scheduled to open later this fall, extending the better-burger brand’s presence in the state and adding another restaurant to its Midwest footprint. BurgerFi is owned by Happy Group, which also operates Savvy Sliders, Happy’s Pizza and Fat Boy’s Pizza.
Happy Asker, founder and CEO of Happy Group and BurgerFi, said the second Michigan restaurant reflects the company’s confidence in the market and the brand’s continued development. The Ypsilanti location will offer dine-in, drive-thru, ordering ahead and takeout, giving customers several ways to access the menu.
The menu will feature BurgerFi staples including the CEO Burger, made with premium Wagyu, and the Rodeo Burger with charred jalapeños, crispy fried onions and barbecue sauce. The restaurant will also offer the Vegi-Fi sandwich in classic and spicy versions, along with hand-breaded chicken tenders, fresh-cut fries, beer-battered onion rings and hand-spun custard shakes. BurgerFi also promotes never-frozen 100% Angus beef and ingredients without added steroids, antibiotics or growth hormones in its burgers.
As BurgerFi adds locations, maintaining clear information for individual restaurants becomes increasingly important across a multi-unit network. Gorilla Dash offers a Branded Stores feature that can help franchise organizations organize location-specific information and support a more consistent brand presence as new restaurants come online.
The Ypsilanti opening will give BurgerFi a second Michigan location alongside its Northville restaurant. The company says it has more than 75 locations domestically and internationally and continues to grow through franchise development, making the new restaurant another step in its broader effort to expand the brand’s presence across the United States.
