Black Sheep Coffee is set to enter the Nottingham market with the opening of a flagship café on Clumber Street, one of the city’s busiest retail destinations. The new location, scheduled to open on March 19, spans approximately 2,000 square feet and offers seating for up to 90 customers. Positioned in the heart of the city, the store is expected to attract a mix of local residents, students, and visitors seeking a lively coffee experience.
The Nottingham launch represents the brand’s first step into the East Midlands and forms part of a broader development agreement to establish at least eight locations across Nottinghamshire. The expansion is being led by franchise partners Luke Underhill and James Pascoe, who have already introduced the brand to Norwich through a recent store opening. Their continued partnership reflects growing confidence in the brand’s ability to thrive in new regional markets.
Company leaders view Nottingham as a strong strategic location for growth. With its busy city center, vibrant retail environment, and large student population, the city offers a natural audience for Black Sheep Coffee’s energetic café concept. The brand has built its reputation on challenging conventional coffee culture while creating spaces designed for both social connection and high quality beverages.
Customers visiting the Clumber Street café will find the company’s signature menu built around specialty grade Robusta coffee. Alongside espresso based drinks, the menu includes matcha beverages, Norwegian waffles, and a range of all day breakfast options designed to complement the café’s bold coffee offering.
The Nottingham opening is expected to serve as the foundation for further expansion across the region. Additional locations are planned both within the city and throughout Nottinghamshire, including sites in retail parks and potential drive thru formats. As Black Sheep Coffee continues to grow through franchising, the company aims to bring its distinctive approach to coffee and hospitality to an expanding network of communities across the United Kingdom.
