The restaurant chain has added new franchise commitments in Missouri and Alabama as it continues to build momentum across multiple markets.

  • Big Whiskey’s announces four new franchise agreements.
  • Sedalia gets a second restaurant from the Jefferson City group.
  • Columbia welcomes its first Big Whiskey’s franchise agreement.

Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant & Bar is expanding its footprint across Missouri and Alabama through a new round of franchise commitments that will add restaurants in both existing and new markets. The Springfield-based restaurant company said the agreements strengthen its development pipeline as it continues to pursue multi-state growth.

In central Missouri, the franchise group behind the brand’s Jefferson City location has signed an agreement to develop a restaurant in Sedalia, extending its presence into another growing regional market. Big Whiskey’s has also secured a separate franchise agreement for Columbia, giving the company an entry into one of Missouri’s largest university and commercial centers.

The company is also expanding in Alabama, where Radiant Investment Group has committed to a new restaurant in Trussville. The agreement marks the group’s third development partnership with Big Whiskey’s and reflects continued confidence from an existing franchise investor. Company executives said repeat franchisee participation has become an important indicator of the brand’s operating momentum.

Chief Executive Officer Austin Herschend said the company’s development pipeline continues to gain momentum through a combination of established operators and new franchise partners. While construction schedules for the newly announced locations have not yet been released, Big Whiskey’s said it remains on track for a previously announced Coral Springs, Florida opening targeted for fall 2026.

As restaurant brands expand across multiple states, maintaining a consistent customer experience becomes increasingly important. Platforms such as Gorilla Dash can help franchise groups manage Branded Stores, coordinate operational standards, and support consistency across new and existing locations. For multi-unit operators entering additional territories, centralized brand management can become an important part of scaling growth while preserving a recognizable restaurant experience.

The latest agreements add to Big Whiskey’s broader regional growth strategy and reinforce its position as an expanding casual-dining franchise brand in the Midwest and Southeast. With additional restaurants in development and repeat franchisees continuing to invest, the company appears to be building a larger multi-state network while extending its reach into new consumer markets.
