Big O Tires has expanded its presence in the western United States with the opening of six new franchise shops across Arizona and Utah. The move reflects the company’s push to provide drivers with access to full-service automotive care, from tire sales and installation to diagnostics and repairs.
Each of the new locations is locally owned and operated, underscoring the company’s focus on building community ties through entrepreneurship. Among the new franchisees are Austin Jenkins, who opened his shop in August, and Eric Ramsower and Eric Bott, who recently launched two Arizona locations. Desiree Elliott, Karl Gabbard, and Shawn Tucker joined the system with a July opening, while Kent Coleman expanded into Murray, Utah, in August. In the same month, Tony Williams and John Niemiec brought Big O Tires to Peoria, Arizona.
Gary Skidmore, the company’s chief operating officer, said that supporting franchisees is central to the brand’s continued growth. “We take pride in working closely with our franchisees and providing them with the resources, support, and training they need to successfully grow their businesses,” Skidmore said. He added that the new openings reflect both the strength of the company’s franchise model and the growing demand for comprehensive auto care in Western markets.
The new shops are designed to be more than tire centers. In addition to a broad selection of durable and high-performance tires, they offer preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair services. Big O Tires said its service warranties are among the strongest in the industry, providing customers with additional confidence when choosing its franchise locations.
For the new franchise owners, the opportunity goes beyond business investment. By operating their shops locally, each franchisee is positioned to tailor customer service to community needs while benefiting from the support and brand recognition of a national company. This dual structure allows Big O Tires to scale while retaining a customer-first approach.
The expansion also highlights broader shifts in consumer expectations. As vehicle technology becomes more complex, drivers are increasingly looking for one-stop shops that can handle both routine maintenance and advanced diagnostics. Big O Tires aims to meet that need by equipping its franchisees with the tools and training to deliver a complete service experience.
With these six new openings, Big O Tires continues to strengthen its footprint in the western United States, signaling that its growth strategy is far from finished. The company appears poised to keep building on its franchise model, offering both entrepreneurs and customers a reliable foundation for the road ahead.
