Body Fit Training brought more than 400 franchisees from 13 countries to Cairns, Australia, for its 2026 international conference, a gathering centered on growth strategy, operational performance and long-term franchise development. The event, held under the theme “Ignite,” reflected the company’s continued focus on strengthening its international presence as competition intensifies across the global fitness industry.
Founded by Cameron Falloon and Luke Armstrong, BFT has expanded rapidly through a franchise model built around science-based group training programs and technology-driven studio operations. The conference marked the company’s tenth anniversary and included a retrospective presentation tracing the brand’s development from its first studio in Australia to its growing international network.
A major focus of the conference centered on franchise performance and member retention. Fitness industry consultant Dr. Paul Bedford delivered a keynote presentation emphasizing the importance of sustaining long-term member engagement as fitness brands expand into increasingly competitive markets. Breakout sessions throughout the event addressed operational efficiency, studio performance and regional growth strategies.
The conference also recognized franchise operators and coaches for performance across international markets. BFT St Kilda received International Studio of the Year honors, while BFT Hackney earned recognition for its European market performance. Brooke MacRae was named International Coach of the Year following what attendees described as a highly competitive selection process.
As global fitness franchises continue scaling across multiple regions, operators are placing greater emphasis on systems that support communication, training and operational consistency between locations. Platforms such as Gorilla Dash Knowledge Base are increasingly being integrated into franchise operations to centralize resources, streamline internal support and help expanding networks maintain alignment across international markets.
