Auntie Anne’s, the world’s largest hand-rolled soft pretzel franchise, is making its Australian debut with a new store at Westfield Parramatta, opening on July 26, 2025. Spearheaded by franchise partners Yu‑Jin Lee and Johann Wong, the launch aims to bring a taste of classic mall-snack nostalgia to Australian shoppers.
The Parramatta outlet introduces a full menu featuring Original, Cinnamon Sugar, Sweet Almond, and Pepperoni Cheese pretzels, as well as savory and sweet nugget bites freshly made on-site. To complement the food menu, guests can enjoy handcrafted lemonade and freshly brewed coffee.
Encouraging signs of demand are already evident online, with social media buzzing about the opening. Over the next 12 months, Lee and Wong plan to roll out five more locations across Australia. Their long-term vision is even more ambitious—reaching 60 stores nationwide.
With its roots in Pennsylvania since 1988, Auntie Anne’s now boasts over 2,000 global locations. Its entrance into Australia coincides with a wave of American food chains entering the market, including Wingstop and Five Guys. Fans in Melbourne and other cities are already vocal, expressing excitement and anticipation.
As opening day draws near, the first 50 customers at Westfield Parramatta will enjoy exclusive Auntie Anne’s merchandise and goodie bags. The introduction of this international favorite promises a fresh option for families, shoppers, and pretzel enthusiasts alike.
