Aqua-Tots Swim School, the global franchise founded by Ron Sciarro and Jane Sciarro, has expanded its footprint in Thailand with the debut of a new state-of-the-art indoor swim school in Surat Thani. This launch marks the brand’s ninth location in the country and its first in the Malay Peninsula, reinforcing its commitment to providing year-round swim instruction and comprehensive water safety education.
The new franchise is operated by Wandett Wachiraseerechai and Wathinee Thaouparong, who are welcoming families to a modern aquatic facility featuring a 15-meter, eight-lane heated pool maintained at 32°C. Designed with comfort and convenience in mind, the facility includes 13 changing rooms, vanity areas, swimsuit dryers, baby changing tables, and a thoughtfully arranged viewing area equipped with the brand’s signature red chairs for parents to watch lessons.
Emphasizing the personal importance of swim safety, Wathinee Thaouparong shared her own experience. “Swim lessons are essential for the safety of children here. We are located near the Gulf of Thailand, right next to the Tapi River... I experienced drowning as a child, and it was terrifying. That is why I want my children and all the children in our community to learn how to be safe, so they can enjoy swimming,” she said.
Located at 8/8 Bang Bai Mai, the Surat Thani school operates Thursday through Tuesday and offers a variety of programs, including small group and private lessons, Swim Club, Swim Team, and a Fast Track program. Instruction is available for children as young as four months, reflecting Aqua-Tots Swim School’s inclusive approach to water safety education.
Craig Wright, CEO of Aqua-Tots Swim School, expressed his excitement about the expansion. “We’re thrilled to expand into a new part of Thailand and reach even more families with lifesaving swim lessons. Our dedicated franchise partners and team members around the world have played a vital role in our growth,” he said.
Today, Aqua-Tots Swim School operates in 14 countries, delivering more than five million swim lessons annually — a testament to the vision of co-founders Ron Sciarro and Jane Sciarro and the dedication of its franchise network.
